A product we built and operate ourselves

Kipwise Agent

The AI teammate for your Slack threads. Mention it once and it does the repetitive work your team keeps asking each other for: follows up on the day you asked, posts the weekly status update, updates the deal or the ticket, and writes the thread up as a page. We built it, we run it, and it sits on the Kipwise knowledge base used by teams in 100+ countries.

Kipwise Agent, the AI teammate for your Slack threads

What it is

Kipwise Agent is an AI teammate that lives in your Slack threads. Mention it once and it does the repetitive work a team would otherwise chase each other for, or hire an assistant to do: follow-ups, status updates and reports, record changes in the tools you already use, and write-ups of the thread. Ask once and it runs every week, or whenever something happens, so nothing falls through the cracks.

Each person connects their own accounts, so it acts as them, with their permissions, and links the sources it actually opened. It drafts emails and customer replies but only sends when you explicitly say so. Write-ups land as pages in the team's Kipwise knowledge base, the wiki product Kipwise started as, with the author's name on them. Kipwise is backed by Techstars and Icebreaker VC.

Why we built it

Kipwise started as a team wiki built on one premise: knowledge should come to you, in the tools you already have open, not sit in a destination people forget to visit. That gave us a Slack bot, a browser extension, search across every source, and workflows that keep pages current.

Talking to the teams using it, the bigger cost was not finding answers. It was the repetitive part around them: the follow-up nobody chased, the weekly status update, the record nobody updated, the thread nobody wrote up. Teams were about to hire a person for exactly that. So we took the same premise one step further: instead of surfacing knowledge in Slack, do the work in Slack.

The goal is simple to say: before you hire for the repetitive part, put it in Slack.

How we built it

An agent that acts on a team's behalf is only useful if people trust it to act. That makes the interesting engineering less about the model and more about everything around it: whose permissions it uses, what it is allowed to send, how it remembers a request that runs every week, and how it shows its sources so a person can check the work.

Acts as each person, not as a super-user

Every teammate connects their own accounts, so the agent reads and writes with exactly their permissions, and only sees what that person can see.

Safe by default on outbound actions

It drafts emails and customer replies but sends only when someone explicitly says so, so a misread request never reaches a customer.

Recurring and triggered requests

Ask once and it runs every week or whenever something happens: follow-ups on the day you asked, status updates posted to the channel with the date range next to every figure.

Works inside the tools a team already uses

It updates the deal, the ticket or the record and logs the note, through each tool's own API and permission model, instead of asking the team to move.

Grounded, cited answers

It links the sources it actually opened, so anyone can check where an answer or a number came from.

A knowledge base underneath

Write-ups become pages in the team's Kipwise knowledge base, with real-time collaborative editing and review workflows that keep them current.

The hard parts were the ones that decide whether a team lets an agent touch real work. Permissions that are never wider than the person asking. Outbound actions that wait for a clear yes. Scheduled requests that keep running reliably for teams in 100+ countries. Those are the problems that separate an agent a team keeps from a demo they try and drop.

What this proves for your project

Kipwise Agent is our own product, used by real teams in production. The engineering behind it is exactly the kind of work a company needs when it wants software that a whole team relies on every day.

Team-scale SaaS that holds up in daily use

Real-time collaboration, permissions, and reliability at the scale of teams across 100+ countries are not features you fake. We have built and operate them, which is what you want behind any tool your whole team depends on.

Integrations with the tools you already use

Slack, Google, Dropbox, OneDrive, a Chrome extension: we have connected to the systems real companies run on, respecting each one's API and permissions. If your project lives or dies on integrations, that is a solved problem for us.

Knowledge search that answers from your own content

Unified search and AI answers grounded in a team's own documents are directly the capability behind a good internal tool or support agent. We built that engine for ourselves and can build it for you.

To bring this to your team, see our AI workflow automation work and the internal tools we build, then look at the pricing before you commit to anything.
